Business woman in the shadows at her desk with her head in her hands

For the Solopreneur Trying to Do Everything on Her Own

July 25, 20254 min read

It was me against the world. I had set up my business and would be my own boss. My thinking was, I'm intelligent, so I can figure this out. I'm super independent, and I can make things happen. This went on for over a decade. If I'd realized sooner that I needed a community, that it's not only o.k. but is imperative to ask for support - maybe I wouldn't have struggled so much for so many years.

I took business courses. I attended online events - a lot of online events. I read a ton of books. Through all of that, what did I learn? Yes, there were golden nuggets of information that were very helpful, but I saw that it can take forever when you're trying to piece it all together. There's a faster way - it's called "Don't try to do everything on your own and make things harder for yourself." In my case, I didn't have much choice, as I didn't have the finances to hire a marketer, website developer, or copywriter (obviously this was all pre-AI). I had to figure it out on my own and do the best I could.

Had I saved up and worked with a coach, I would've had way more clarity and direction from the get-go. I've would've known where to put my focus instead of trying to do all the things at once. I would've known the language I needed to clearly explain what I do. I would've focused on pain points and benefits in my messaging instead of the features. I would've understood that I was also fighting my own inner glass ceilings. Clearly, you don't know what you don't know - until you know.

It was late 2023 when I finally decided to give up on my business. I didn't know what else to do, and it was so hard not having any support, and I was tired of not reaching my goals. My brain said enough, but my heart kept asking me to hold on. Something pulled me to attend one of Dean Graziosi's and Tony Robbins's online events. While I felt some motivation kick back in, it wasn't enough to keep me in the game.

Then, Carrie Green came on as a guest speaker. I gained more from her short talk than I did from the entire event. I decided to learn more about her and came to find she has a membership called the Female Entrepreneur Association (FEA). The next thing I knew, I signed up to become a member, and everything shifted from there.

I found community, support, and more and more clarity. FEA offers courses that gave me footing with the unfamiliar. I started incorporating CEO dates to keep me on track. After a few tries, I found an amazing accountability partner.

If I had had access to the tech that's available today, I wouldn't have spent so much of my time and money. I now use software through FEA Create that is an all-in-one business system. It houses my courses, products, CRM, funnels, automations, and more.

I came to the realization that doing it all myself, by myself, wasn't going to get me any further than I'd already come. The entrepreneur/solopreneur journey is far from easy. It's so important to find a support system to help us see it through. As women, we have a tendency to inspire each other and lift each other up. We're meant to connect and help each other move forward - it's part of our feminine magic.

If you find you're struggling and are trying to do it all on your own, please find your community, look for an accountability partner, and/or work with a coach. Find ways to make the journey easier. You have something important to get out into the world; you have lives to change and impact to make. Don't give up!

If you find you're in a similar position, you can check out FEA. I offer 1:1 sessions to help clear your subconscious sabotage - the hidden mental blocks keeping you stuck and playing small. I also offer the Inner Shift Accelerator if you're looking for creating an action plan, having accountability, and breaking through your inner glass ceilings (visibility, imposter syndrome, procrastination, etc.).

You have something the world needs; make sure you get it out there!

To your inner growth & success,
