True Short Stories: Experiences of an Intuitive

May 22, 20252 min read

It’s taken a really long time, but I have begun to share some of my experiences publicly. Since my life did a 180 after moving to Sedona, AZ, over 13 years ago, a lot has happened. By opening up to my intuition and intuitive gifts, my views on reality have greatly shifted. How could they not with the myriad of things I’ve seen and experienced?

I faced a lot of painful rejection from friends, family, and my then-boyfriend when I came out of the spiritual/intuitive closet. It was challenging stepping into and accepting this version of myself when those I cared about wanted nothing to do with the new me. It’s probably why I’ve held off from sharing. Would people even believe me? I’ve done many double takes myself when I’ve had to ask, did that really just happen?

Needless to say, there is something inside of me that is compelling me to share. At this point in my life, it doesn't really bother me if people believe me or not, because at the end of the day, it just doesn’t matter. What matters is that I had the experiences, and each one taught me something of value.

Perhaps they will do the same for you. Maybe they will bring you some comfort, maybe they will ask you to think beyond your comfort zone, or maybe they will inspire new questions for you about life as you know it. What I suggest is that you allow yourself to be curious.

The first story, “The Ghost at the Roadside Rest,” takes place many years ago in the western part of the United States.

This experience taught me the importance of protecting myself before dealing with spirits, as well as realizing that not everyone can be helped until they’re ready.

The next story, “Right After Death,” provided me with visual proof of life just after death.

As heartbroken as I felt about watching the squirrel breathe its last, while possibly suffering, it brought me joy to see that its spirit was just fine. This experience comforted me and reminded me that we live on after death.

“Angels Through the Eyes of a Child” is one of my favorite experiences. It’s one that I will never forget.

This happened in my early days of stepping into intuitive work. The Angels had been showing up more and more, but I had trouble sensing them due to my nerves. Seeing that two of them had my back brought me courage, awe, and joy.
